Saline Fisherman Dies After Falling Through Ice
Michael Shofstall of Saline died after rescue workers pulled him out of Timber Lake in Lenawee County on Thursday.

A 62-year-old Saline man died while ice fishing in Lenawee County, MLive reported on Thursday.
Michael James Shofstall died at Allegiance Health hospital after rescue workers pulled him out of Timber Lake, where he was found 18 feet below the surface.
A second fisherman, Gerald Lee Smith, 62, of Grass Lake fell through the ice as well and was taken by helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. His condition is unknown.
According to the MLive report, the two men were fishing roughly 100 yards from the shoreline on ice that was 2 to 3 inches deep.
