Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Washtenaw County until 10 p.m..

Numerous thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening with a chance that some may produce damaging wind gusts of up to 70 miles-per-hour and hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter.

According to the weather statement, heavy rainfall and flash flooding are possible.
