Thursday Night Concerts in Saline, Milan Postponed

The threat of severe thunderstorms forced organizers to cancel free concerts

Thursday's free summer concerts in Saline and Milan have been postponed due to the threat of severe thunderstorms.

Saline's Summer Music Series finale has been postponed. The band "Six Foot Poles" was scheduled to play on South Ann Arbor Street. Organizers couldn't plan on bringing the show indoors at Liberty School because of the power outage in Saline this morning. Downtown Director Art Trapp, there are tentative plans to reschedule the concert for Aug. 11.

Detroit country-rockers Annabelle Road were scheduled to play at the Milan "Concert in the Park" at Wilson Park. According to a statement from Milan City Administrator Ben Swazye, the city hopes to reschedule the concert and movie, "Goonies," for Aug. 28. the next concert takes place Aug. 4, when Fiddlers ReStrung  plays at 7 p.m. and the movie "Rio" is shown at 9 p.m..
