Organizers were thrilled with the opening night of Saline Summerfest.

On a sunny, hot and muggy day, thousands turned out to stroll through the Saline Summer Art and Craft Show and watch the entertainment on the concert stage.

Here's the schedule for Saturday:

8 a.m. - 4 p.m. — Merchant and Vendor Booth

8 a.m. - 10 a.m. — Fishing Contest @ Mill Pond Park 
Children 14 and Under

8:30 a.m. -10 a.m. — 5K Run Walk

8 a.m. - 4 p.m. — Saline Street Machines Car Show . Awards at 3 p.m.

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. — Co-ed Volleyball Tournament, Saline Rec Center. Final Registration 9 a.m. Tournament begins a 9:30 a.m.
10 a.m. - 8 p.m. —Saline Summer Craft Show

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. —Kid's Games including Inflatable Obstacle Course & Bouncer, Face Painting, and Much More!

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. — Touch a Truck, Hall Street

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. — Kids Bands

Noon - 4 p.m. — Historical Society Trolley Tours

12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. — Radio Control Car Races (Mini-Z Racers) - awards @ 3 p.m. (Mini Z's Racers new this year)

1 p.m. - 2 p.m. — Motor City Outlaws

1 p.m. - 2 p.m. — Egg Toss and Watermelon Eating Contest

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. — Horse Cave Trio Band (Playing at Saline Street Machines Car Show near McKay and North Ann Arbor Streets)

2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. — Duffy KIng

3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. —Fiddlers Restrung

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. —Tricycle Race

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. —100 Proof Band

5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. — Dr. Pocket Band
