More than 450 athletes and coaches participated in the Special Olympics Michigan basketball district tournament Saturday at .

The teams competed in several divisions, vying for the opportunity to advance to the state tournament in Grand Rapids. In addition to four teams from Saline, the district tournament drew players from throughout Washtenaw, Monroe, Wayne, Livingston and Monroe counties.

The state tournament takes place March 25-26.
