VIDEO: Take a Tour of the Saline Recreation Center

The is celebrating its 20th anniversary this weekend, with a series of events Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Have you been to Rec Center lately? Parks and Recreation Director Carla Scruggs took us on a tour of the facility. We had the camera rolling to give you just a brief glimpse of what the city-owned facility offers.

The 20-year anniversary activities begin Friday, highlighted by Movie In the Park at 6:30 p.m. There will also be an obstacle course and bouncer, sidewalk art, sand castle building and concessions.

Saturday's big event is a Luau Pool Party from 3-6 p.m. There will be a live mermaid on site. Activities include swimming, pool games. a four square tournament and limbo contest. Hot dogs will be cooked on the grill.

Sunday, there is an open house from noon to 6 p.m. Guests can visit at no cost all day. There will be contests, fitness classes, chair massages, giveaways, and more. There will be a celebration, featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting  and cake, from 1 to 2 p.m.
