VIDEOSTORY: Saline Resident's Exhibit Opens at 212 Arts Center

The r in Saline hosted a reception Friday for Artist of the Month, Jennifer Lickers. The Saline resident teaches at the gallery, and is no stranger to 212 arts, but it was the first time she experienced an art reception as the exhibitor.

Lickers' exhibit, entitled Think Freedom, is diverse. It features folk art, clay works, paintings and sculptures. The themes and moods vary, ranging from playful or traditional to profound, dark and powerful. Many of the themes touch on women's issues, and many are inspired by Lickers' Mohawk roots.
