From Vietnam To Volunteerism: Saline Veteran Still Giving Back
Army veteran Richard Wagner continues making a difference in Saline through decades of local volunteer work.

Saline, MI — From their time in uniform to their everyday contributions in our neighborhoods, veterans embody service in so many forms. Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to share stories of veterans making a difference in the places we call home.

Rick’s father was a Marine pilot in WWII. His brothers were in the Air Force and Navy, so he chose the Army. He was in the Airborne Infantry and served in Vietnam. After his military service, he raised a family of three sons and continued to help his community as a member of the JCs and then the Saline Kiwanis.

Rick and I were close during his time in Vietnam and married when he returned home.
