Football Teams Preparing for Upcoming Season

The Eisenhower and Utica football teams will take to the field Aug. 12 for the first day of practice.

The recent cool evenings are a harbinger of fall weather and football.

While parkas may not be needed, local high school football teams will soon be taking the field for the upcoming season. Here are a few dates to remember for the coming season for players, parents and the community.

Eisenhower High School

  • First day of practice is Aug. 12
  • Blue/white scrimmage Aug. 17
  • First game against Rockford at 6 p.m. Friday, August 30 at Swinehart Field
Utica High School
  • First day of practice is Aug. 12
  • Orange/black scrimmage Aug. 17
  • First game against Rochester at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at Swinehart Field
