A 30-year-old woman was killed in a Macomb County crash over the weekend, according to police.

STERLING HEIGHTS, MI — A 30-year-old woman was killed in a Macomb County crash over the weekend, according to police.

The crash happened at 11:45 p.m. Saturday on Mound Road and Sterling Drive South in Sterling Heights, according to police.

Police said the Warren woman was driving a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu when she slammed into the back of a semi-truck trailer that was stopped at a red light.

The woman, who was the only person inside the Chevy, was killed in the crash, according to police.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured, according to police.
