Ike Wrestler Myers Places 7th at State Finals

Charlie Myers placed seventh at 171 pounds at the Division 1 individual wrestling state finals at the Palace on Saturday.

Myers defeated Midland's Knute Hoffman 3-2 in the seventh-place match.

Myers opened the tournament on Thursday by pinning Rockford's Robby Gorton in 5:48.

From there, he lost to Detroit Catholic Central's Kevin Beazley 7-3; defeated Grand Haven's Connor Moynihan 5-1; and lost to Lake Orion's Adam Gros 3-2.
