Man Charged With Murder After Macomb Co. Woman Found Dead: Prosecutor
Officers found the woman's body inside a Macomb County home after someone called 911 and abruptly hung up, according to police.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — A man is facing charges after officers found a woman dead inside a Shelby Township home over the weekend, according to the county prosecutor.
Officers went to the Lakeside Park Apartments on Lakeside Park Drive in Shelby Township at 6:32 a.m. Saturday for a "suspicious circumstance" after someone called 911 and abruptly hung up, according to police.
Once inside the home, officers found the body of Brittany Harris-Beauchamp, 27, of Madison Heights, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors believe her body had been moved within the room.
Terrance Lamar Bowie, II, 29, from Shelby Township, was charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He was placed in jail and given a $2 million bond. If released, prosecutors said he must wear a GPS tether.

Bowie's next court date is scheduled for Aug 5.
If convicted, he faces up to life in prison for the murder charge and up to 10 years in prison for the tampering with evidence charge.

We will do everything within our authority to ensure that justice is served," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said.
