Man Hit, Injured In Macomb County Crash: Sheriff
The driver has been cooperative with police, officials said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A man was seriously hurt after getting hit by a car Monday night in Macomb County, according to the sheriff's office.
The incident happened at 8:34 p.m. Monday on 32 Mile Road just west of M-53 in Washington Township, officials said.
Officials said the 36-year-old Romeo man was crossing the road when he was hit by a blue Ford Escape.

The driver of the Escape, a 45-year-old woman, called 911, officials said.
The Romeo man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, officials said.

The driver, who initially thought she hit a deer, has been cooperative with police, officials said.
Investigators determined she was not at fault for the crash. They also said she had no alcohol in her system and no indication of drug use.
