Shelby Township Clean Up Day Planned

The Shelby Township Beautification Committee will host the annual Clean Up Day on April 27.

More than 800 students, members of civic groups and residents are expected to take part in the event which removes litter from roadways in the township.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Senior Center, and pizza and pop will be provided at 11 a.m., according to organizers.

Additionally, there will also be a household hazardous waste collection from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 in the parking lot of the Shelby Township Municipal Building. For more information about which items will be accepted, visit the Solid Waste and Recycling Committee website.
