The 28-foot Sounder will boost fire, rescue, and dive capabilities along 10 miles of shoreline, with a separate $30,000 boat lift still being raised through community fundraising and recent support from the American Legion Auxiliary.

Crews found flames growing beneath the home after residents reported smoke filling the structure, and no injuries were reported as the blaze was swiftly extinguished.
