Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Macomb Co. During Meetup With Woman He Met On Dating App: Police

Four people were arrested in connection with the armed robbery, according to police.

WARREN, MI — Four people were arrested in connection with a Macomb County armed robbery that happened earlier this week, according to police.

The incident happened at 1:50 a.m. Monday at a vacant house at the intersection of Van Dyke Avenue and 12 Mile Road in Warren, according to police.

The man told officers he drove to the house to meetup with a woman, whom he met on a dating app, according to police.

The woman told him to call her from his car when he arrived at the house, according to police.

The woman then walked out to meet the man at his vehicle, and then led him inside the vacant house, according to police.

Once inside the house, she told him to wait in a bedroom while she used the bathroom, according to police.

That's when two men armed with guns entered the bedroom and demanded the man's belongings, according to police.

Investigators said the two men assaulted the man with a gun and ran away, according to police.

The man then climbed out of the bedroom window and called 911, according to police.

Officers searched the area and found a car matching the one used by the suspected armed robbers parked near the vacant home on Lund Avenue, according to police.

When officers approached, the suspects got out of the car and ran into a home in the 29000 block of Lund, according to police.

Officers tried to contact the people who went into the home, but no one responded, according to police.

Officers then called a special tactical team, which entered the house and arrested three men and a woman inside, according to police.

They also recovered other evidence that's part of the investigation, according to police.
