Car-Eating Potholes Shut Down Ramp To I-94 In St. Clair Shores
State Police closed a ramp to I-94 and called in MDOT to perform repairs after potholes damaged 15 cars Monday night.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. - Michigan State Police closed the 10 Mile Road ramp to I-94 Monday after 15 cars were damaged by several deep potholes lining the roadway. According to Channel 4/Click on Detroit, the cars sustained serious damage from deep, water-filled potholes at the base of the ramp.
The lineup of 15 cars waiting for tows or with drivers trying to change damaged tired caused on motorist on the scene to call police, leading to the shutdown. According to witnesses, drivers couldn’t see the holes because they filled with water after Monday’s heavy rains. State Troopers called in Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), which dispatched a patching truck to temporarily fill the holes. The patch can’t set in wet conditions, and the rain will continue through much of the week.
