City Temporarily Lifts Ban on Parking

Ordinance prohibiting parking on residential streets from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. lifted for holiday weekend

The city has lifted the ban on parking on residential streets from 3 a.m. -5 a.m., beginning Wed. Nov 25 and continuing through Sat. Nov. 28.

The temporary suspension of this ordinance is meant to help residents with family and friends from out of town have a place to legally park during their stay.

Police department officials noted, however, that the lifting of this ordinance does not apply to the overnight parking of commercial vehicles such as trucks and business vehicles.
