Crosstown Rivals Split Softball Doubleheader
The high school softball teams for Lake Shore and Lakeview high schools split a doubleheader Wednesday at Kyte Monroe Park.

Lake Shore and Lakeview girls softball teams split a doubleheader Wednesday at Kyte Monroe Park.
Lakeview lost the first game 10-4 in the first game, but came back to win the the second game 15-13.
According to Becky Quinn, Lakeview head softball coach, the Huskies' Beth Cooley went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI, and Taylor Genzman went 2 for 4 with a double and triple and an RBI.Â

In the second game, Lakeview's Aileen Zelinski went 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs. Becky Corbett, Joslyn Spear, and Hannah Mathies all homered in the 6th to insure the win for the Huskies, Quinn wrote. Corbett had 4 RBIs in the contest. Spear went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and Mathies went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.
