Cruise to the Nautical Mile for the Open House and Fun Day
The boating season kicks off Saturday along the Nautical Mile with the Open House and Fun Day with activities including inflatable games for children, music performances and a scavenger hunt for prizes.

The ice has melted, shrink wrap is being removed from vessels and activity along the Nautical Mile is beginning to pick up as the new boating season is underway in St. Clair Shores.
To celebrate, businesses along the dining, shopping and marina district will be hosting an Open House and Fun Day from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.
“Here on the Nautical Mile, we have the highest concentration of nautical businesses anywhere on Lake St. Clair, and we are the epicenter for people to come if they want to boat, dine or shop around the lake,” said Donna Flaherty, Nautical Mile Merchants Association President, in a release. “Many people may think they know what’s here on the Nautical Mile—but we are always adding, always enhancing and always reinventing ourselves. Our Open House and Fun Day is a way we hope to entice people to come down and discover or re-discover everything we have.”
