DIA Comes to the Library
City's Cultural Committee brings Detroit Institute of Arts speaker to the library for special program

Art lovers in St. Clair Shores and beyond are welcome to attend a very special event beginning at 7:30 p.m., Monday Nov. 16, at the St. Clair Shores Public Library.
A ”Behind the Seen Talk,” presented by a trained art guide from the Detroit Institute of Arts Speakers Bureau, is slated to take place in the library’s meeting room.
The event, sponsored by the St. Clair Shores Cultural Committee and the DIA, will examine the topic of the museum’s new exhibit: ”30 Americans: a first look at the new special exhibit at the museum featuring the works of 30 African American artists.”

The program allows guests a glance into the new exhibit which explores the issues of race, politics, gender and equality in contemporary America.
The program is free of charge and open to residents of St. Clair Shores and non-residents.
