Lake Shore's Moore Places Sixth at Wrestling Finals

Shorians' Moore ends up in sixth place at state individual tournament at the Palace.

UPDATE 4:13 P.M. SATURDAY: Lake Shore's JacQuan Moore placed sixth at the Division 2 state individual wrestling finals at the Palace on Saturday.

Moore lost 4-3 in the fifth-place match to Dexter's Steven Bleise. Earlier Saturday, Moore fell 6-0 to Austin Kelley of Allegan.

UPDATE 6:15 P.M. FRIDAY: JacQuan Moore stayed alive in the consolation bracket by defeating Greenville's Mike Schmidt 8-3 at the Division 2 state individual wrestling finals at the Palace.

JacQuan Moore of has moved into the consolation bracket at 103 pounds at the Division 2 state individual finals at the Palace after falling to Dean Somers of Lapeer West 5-0.

Moore won his opening-round match over Nolan Waddell of Byron Center on Thursday.
