Lakeview Hoops Tops Marysville

The boys basketball team assured itself of its first winning season since 2004 with a 53-46 victory over Marysville on Friday night.

Robert Shields recorded 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Huskies, who recorded their 11th win of the season to assure themselves of their first winning campaign in eight years.

Gary Tilney added 13 points and eight rebounds for Lakeview, which improved its record to 11-5 overall and 9-3 in the Macomb Area Conference Silver Division.

Mark Archer had 11 points for Marysville (10-5 overall, 8-3 MAC Silver).

Lakeview hosts Center Line on Tuesday at home.
