Lakeview Huskies Win Softball Districts

The Lakeview Huskies defeated East Detroit and Grosse Pointe North Saturday to win their districts according to Becky Quinn, Lakeview head softball coach.

In the opener against East Detroit, the Huskies were lead by Beth Cooley who went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs and Aileen Zelinski had 2 RBIs with a triple. Lakeview took the game with an 18-0 victory.

In the final game 8-5 victory over Grosse Pointe North, Olivia Periano got 3 RBIs and Lauren Shock went 3 for 3 with an RBI.

Alexis Nowowiecki got both wins on the mound.
