Lakeview Softball and Tennis Post Victories
Lakeview High School coaches provided updates from recent games played by the Huskies, including softball player Taylor Genzman hitting for the cycle, with an inside the park homerun, in a victory over L'Anse Creuse North.

Lakeview Huskies topped L'Anse Creuse North in a double-header Wednesday.

In game one, which Lakeview won 4-1, Taylor Genzman and Kennedy Herr both went 2 for 3 with runs scored. Beth Cooley also went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Â Becky Corbett took the mound for the win with 2 strikeouts and only giving up 4 hits. Â
Lakeview topped L'Anse Creuse 14-7 in the second game, which featured Taylor Genzman going 4 for 5 and hitting the full cycle. Her inside the park home run was followed by a triple, double and ending the game with a single. Â She had 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs in the second game. Â Joslyn Spear also went 3 for 4 with a double, scoring a run and posting an RBI. Â Aileen Zelinski went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Â Alexis Nowowiecki hit a triple and had the mound for the win.

The Huskies girls varsity team defeated Warren Mott 8-0 Monday, and continued their winning ways Tuesday with a 7-1 victory over Chippewa Valley.
