Lakeview Tennis Team Places Second at MAC Silver Meet

Led by sophomore Leah Willoughby, tennis team finished second at the MAC Silver Division meet on Wednesday, May 11.

Willoughby won the championship at No. 4 singles by defeating Evie Hanna of Warren-Mott 6-2, 6-3 in the finals.

Willoughby’s showing helped Lakeview end up with 38 total points in the tournament.

Lakeview also finished as the runner-up in two other flights.

The second doubles team of senior Catherine Pirrone and sophomore Micha Thompson finished second, losing to Hunter Parsons and Haley Ammons of Clawson 2-6, 6-0 (10-4) in the final.

The fourth doubles team of sophomore Leah Golembiewski and sophomore Hannah Sporer also was second, losing to Marine City’s Page DeVlamnick and Tiffany Tocco 6-2, 6-1 in the final.
