Lakeview's Trocchio Ties for Third at Tournament

golfer Luke Trocchio shot a 77 to tie for third overall at the Milliken Millworks Invite on May 16 at Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion.

Trocchio’s performance helped the Huskies finish 14th out of 22 teams at the tournament. Plymouth won the event.

Indianwood’s Old Course, a par-70, 6,447-yard layout, will be the site of the 2012 U.S. Senior Open.

In other golf action, Lakeview lost to Stevenson 162-164 on Tuesday at Sycamore Hills in Macomb Township.

Trocchio and Tom Garbe each shot a 39 for Lakeview in the dual-match loss. Joe Sedrowski had a 40, and Morrie Cunha had a 46.

John Welsing led Stevenson with a 36. Matt Klein shot a 38, Andrew Pionski had a 42, and Chris Kolakowski had a 46 for the Titans.

Lakeview is 6-3 in the MAC Blue Division.
