Macomb Co. Seventh Grader Stops Bus After Driver Passes Out: Officials
A "quick-thinking" seventh grader stopped his school bus after the driver had a medical emergency, Superintendent Robert Livernois said.

WARREN, MI — A Warren seventh grader is being hailed a hero after he stopped his school bus Wednesday when the driver behind the wheel passed out.
The students were on their way home from Carter Middle School Wednesday afternoon when the bus driver became lightheaded and lost consciousness while driving in the area of Masonic Boulevard and Bunert Road, Superintendent Robert Livernois said.
That's when the "quick-thinking" seventh grader stepped up to the front of the bus and brought it to a stop without incident, Livernois said.
