WARREN, MI — A Warren officer was injured in a Thursday morning crash during a police chase in Macomb County, according to officials.
Officers tried stopping a silver Cadillac sedan in the area of Interstate 696 and Dequindre Road for a license plate violation around noon Thursday, according to officials.
The Cadillac sped away from officers, who then chased the car south on Mound Road toward 8 Mile Road, according to officials.

The Cadillac then ran a red light at the intersection of Mound and 8 Mile Road and crashed into two other cars, according to officials.
The officer who was chasing the Cadillac also crashed into another car at the intersection, according to officials.

The officer was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 33-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the chase and crash, according to officials.
The man's 12-year-old daughter, who was a passenger inside the car during the chase, was also taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to officials.
There were no other injuries in the crash, according to officials.
