A portion of Interstate 94 in metro Detroit will be closed this weekend for bridge work, according to road officials.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A portion of Interstate 94 in metro Detroit will be closed this weekend for bridge work, according to road officials.
All westbound lanes on Interstate 94 between Interstate 696 and 8 Mile Road in St. Clair Shores will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, according to road officials.

- Eastbound Interstate 696 to westbound Interstate 94.
- 12 Mile Road to westbound Interstate 94.
- Eastbound and westbound 11 Mile Road to westbound Interstate 94.
- 10 Mile Road to westbound Interstate 94.
- 9 Mile Road to westbound Interstate 94.
Westbound Interstate 94 traffic will be detoured via westbound Interstate 696, southbound M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) and eastbound M-102 (8 Mile Road) to reach westbound Interstate 94.
The lanes are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Sunday, according to road officials.

Crews are planning to replace a damaged bridge beam on the Frazho Road bridge. The bridge was damaged in a crash earlier this month.
Officials said road crews will return later this fall to complete additional bridge repairs and reopen eastbound Frazho Road at Interstate 94.
Westbound Frazho Road will remain closed until final repairs can be made in 2026, officials said.
