The Huskies softball team fell to Chippewa Valley, while the baseball team topped Marine City.

The Huskies opened up their season with a 4-3 loss Wednesday against conference foe Chippewa Valley. Becky Corbett allowed only 5 hits from the mound. Olivia Peraino was solid at the plate hitting 2-3 with an RBI single and a double. Jessica Bohls and Beth Cooley both posted RBIs as well, according to Becky Quinn, head softball coach.

Lakeview's baseball team improved to 2-3-1 on the season Monday with a 1-0 victory over Marine City Monday. Nick White led the Huskies offensively, going 2 for 3 with a double and single. Matt Brand also went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Brand was also the winning pitcher, giving up no runs over 7 innings with 4 hits and recording 7 strikeouts.
