Shields Lifts Lakeview Hoops to Victory

Robert Shields scored 23 points to power the boys basketball team to a 66-54 triumph over Madison Heights Lamphere on Wednesday.

Shields added eight rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Huskies, who improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the MAC Silver Division.

Gary Tilney contributed 14 points and eight rebounds for Lakeview, which trailed 30-28 at halftime but took charge with an 18-8 third-quarter run.

Geno Greer had eight points and five steals, Gjonson Biblekaj had eight points and five assists, and the Huskies forced Lamphere to commit 33 turnovers.

Lamphere is 1-6 overall and 0-2 in the MAC Silver.
