Weekend Events Around the Shores

Here are some events around St. Clair Shores this weekend:

• The Jefferson Middle School Giving Garden returns from 4 - 6 p.m. every Thursday in August and September. Members of the community are free to select vegetables grown by students with assistance from the Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores.
• Take a SCUBA class Saturday from Advanced Aquatics Diving.
• The VFW Men's Auxiliary 1146 will hold a Baby Back Rib Out from 3 - 7 p.m. Saturday at the Bruce Post. A $15 per person donation is requested for baby back ribs, potato salad, baked beans, fresh corn on the cob, desserts and refreshments. For information, call (586) 293-5799.
