Weekend Road Work Planned on I-94 in St. Clair Shores

The Michigan Department of Transportation announced the upcoming construction projects on I-94.

• Beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, eastbound I-94 will be reduced to a single lane as traffic is switched to the median side of I-94. By 5 a.m. Friday, three lanes of eastbound I-94 will be open, with traffic shifted to the median side, during daylight hours.
• The 11 Mile Road entrance ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed starting at 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 and ending by 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 for concrete work. 
  
• The eastbound I-94 exit to 12 Mile Road will be closed until the end of September. 
• The two-lane ramp from eastbound I-696 to eastbound I-94 will be reduced to a single lane until the end of August.
• Beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, the eastbound I-94 exit to Gratiot Avenue will open.
