A View of the Trenton Channel During Hurricane Sandy (PHOTO)
Grosse Ile Township Supervisor Brian Loftus sent Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch a photo of the Detroit River taken Tuesday morning.

Grosse Ile Township Supervisor Brian Loftus sent us this photo of the Trenton Channel in the Detroit River, which was taken Tuesday morning during Hurricane Sandy.
Loftus said winds were at about 25 miles per hour and coming out of the north.
"Northerly winds push water out of the river, leaving water levels about one foot below normal," Loftus said in an email. "'Lots of whitecaps!"  Â
