City Of Trenton: Wayne County Plans To Address West Road Viaduct In 2022

being addressed through a bill in the state legislature and plans for repairing a number of the crumbling footings is what they are looking at repairing.  The State of Michigan ranks its bridges from 1 to 9 and the West Road Viaduct is ranked a 3 putting in the category of requiring attention.“A 3 means it’s serious,” said MDOT Chief Bridge Engineer Matt Chynoweth. “It’s still safe in terms overall it’s still safe to cross, but what it means for me as an engineer is we’re going to have to get in there very soon and do to some rehab.”See the full interview on WXYZ Channel 7 here https://www.wxyz.com/news/local-news/investigations/crumbling-bridge-sparks-concern-in-trenton.
