Fourth of July Fireworks Are a Go in Trenton

Last year, Fritz Enterprises in Trenton donated thousands of dollars to pay for a fireworks display that was nearly cut from the budget.

The Trenton 2013 Fourth of July Fireworks are expected to be just as intense and entertaining as last year's after city officials secured the same companies that brought the thunder in 2012.

Allen Audio Systems LLC and Ace Pyro LLC are set to put on a pyro-musical at sundown on July 4 at Rotary Park in Trenton.

Joann Perna, director of parks and recreation, said she was extremely pleased with the professional service Allen Audio provided in 2012. The company worked closely with city employees to overcome several obstacles presented as a result of inclement weather.

The total cost for the fireworks display is not yet known because the amount spent on the display is contingent upon corporate sponsorship dollars currently being secured for the event.
