Grosse Ile Woman Featured on Ford's Warriors in Pink
Irma Slimko of Grosse Ile is a cancer survivor with a story to tell for Ford's Warriors in Pink Models of Courage campaign.
Irma Slimko, 64, of Grosse Ile, began fighting cancer in 1996 and is currently cancer free.
Slimko was selected to participate in the Ford Motor Company's Warriors in Pink Models of Courage campaign, which profiled eleven cancer survivors from across the country.
The models, nine women and two men, offered stories of hope that can be found on the Warriors in Pink website.
