Police Blotter: Man Bitten by Friend's Dog

A 19-year-old man reported being bitten by a friend’s dog at about 2 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 5000 block of Lisa Court.
The man told he was walking up his friend’s driveway at about 6 p.m. Oct. 31 when the friend’s dog ran around him while dragging a chain behind. The dog caused the man to become tangled in the chain and he tripped and fell to the ground.
He said he attempted to untangle himself by kicking his legs and the dog bit him on the right foot. The dog bit through his shoe and caused two punctures on the inside of his foot.

He added the dog was removed from his foot and he went inside the friend’s house.
Once inside the house the man said the dog attacked him again by biting his feet.

The man went to The Henry Ford Medical Center in Wyandotte for his injuries, received two stitches, one for each puncture, and was released.
The man was unable to provide the address of where the incident took place, the breed of the dog, the sex of the dog or whether or not the dog was vaccinated according to Trenton Police.
He could only describe the dog as medium sized and brownish in color.
No charges were filed and the dog owner’s information was passed on to a Trenton animal control officer for follow-up according to police.
