"Covenant House Michigan is grateful for Brian Elias and the 1-800 Hansons team for supporting our mission to serve homeless and at-risk youth in Michigan," Covenant House Director of Marketing and PR Melissa Golpe said. "HANSONS' involvement means so much to our organization and the kids we serve. When Mr. Elias visited our campus a few weeks back, our kids were so excited to meet him, they even recited the commercial jingle. It is truly a blessing to have supporters like Mr. Elias visit and show our kids how much they are valued."

The 15th Anniversary Celebration, hosted by Mojo of Channel 95.5’s Mojo in the Morning show, will feature a special awards ceremony. The ceremony will recognize donors who have made significant contributions to help the Covenant House mission.

Covenant House is a sanctuary for young people who have little resources. Adolescents who have been abused and neglected are welcomed into a family environment and nurtured by volunteers who believe that all of God’s children deserve unconditional love, respect and hope.

“Children are the most important thing in life," 1-800-HANSONS owner Brian Elias said. "As a dad, I try to provide (for) and nurture my child as much as possible, and I wanted to do something to help those people who are trying to do that for other kids here in Michigan."

1-800-HANSNON’S recently won the National 2011 Replacement Contractor of the Year Award from Replacement Contractor Magazine, a publication that serves the roofing, siding and window replacement contracting industry throughout the United States. 1-800-Hansons is the first and only Michigan contractor to win this prestigious national award.

Elias founded 1-800-HANSON’S in 1988 as a one-man operation selling the leads he canvassed, and has grown the company into one of the industry’s largest home improvement companies. Last year, 1-800-HANSONS' original location in Troy generated a majority of the company’s $46 million sales in 2011. The company is committed to educational projects and charitable organization throughout Michigan and Ohio.
