5 Men Arrested Troy Home Burglary: Police
The homeowner was watching the suspected burglar on a home surveillance camera while he was at work, according to police.
TROY, MI — Five men were arrested last Thursday in connection with a Troy home burglary, according to police.
A homeowner notified officers that an unknown man had entered his home on the 3600 block of Millay, just off Rochester Road between East Wattles Road and E Big Beaver Road, at 12:36 a.m. last Thursday, according to police.
The homeowner was watching the suspected burglar on a home surveillance camera while he was at work, according to police.

The burglar then turned the camera away and pointed it toward a wall, according to police.
Investigators later determined multiple men were involved in the burglary, according to police.

Officers quickly arrived at the home and saw the suspected burglar, later identified as Owen Jean Cortes, running West through the Pro Car Wash parking lot, away from the general direction of the home, according to police.
Officers chased Cortes as he ran west across Rochester Road, jumping a cement wall behind 3635 Rochester Road, according to police.
Cortes was then captured by officers in the area of Hidden Ridge Drive and Colebrook Avenue, according to police.
Officers then saw a second suspected burglar, later identified as Michel Leandro Alba Rincon, walking slowly South on the sidewalk east of Rochester road, according to police.
Police said Alba appeared to be filming the foot pursuit with a cell phone, before he walked into Noni’s Restaurant, where officers then arrested Alba in connection with the burglary.
Shortly later, officers found a third suspected burglar, later identified as Omar Giovvany Rodriguez-Aponte, walking South on the West sidewalk of Rochester Road toward East Big Beaver Road, according to police.
Rodriguez then got into a silver Honda Odyssey with a Virginia license plate and drove away, according to police.
Officers stopped the car and arrested Rodriguez and two other men in connection with home burglary, according to police.
Owen Jean Cortes, 25, Michel Leandro Alba Rincon, 39, Omar Giovvany Rodriguez-Aponte, 48, Geovanny Enreque Castellanos-Forero, 28, and Alberto Franco-Jimenez, 43, were each charged with second-degree home invasion.
Cortes was also charged with possession of burglary tools and Jimenez was also charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, according to police.
If convicted, they face up to 15 years in prison for home invasion and/or a $3,000 fine. Cortes faces an additional 10 years in prions if convicted for possessing burglary tools and Jimenez could spend up to an additional 93 days in jail and/or a $500 fine for driving with a suspected license.
All five men were placed in the Oakland County Jail with a $1 million bond, according to police.
