1. Meet by State Rep. Martin Howrylak, who will co-host a local town hall meeting on 2 p.m. Thursday at the Troy Public Library.
2. Support the Troy Athens Band Boosters, who will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Big Beaver United Methodist Church. The car wash is free but donations (including bottles and cans) are welcome. All donation and money from the bottle drive will go to support the band program.
3. Learn about the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Troy Community Center (rooms 304-305) from an array of speakers, including newly-appointed Ambassador of Cyprus to the United States, George Chacalli.
4. Get crafty at Gail's Lighthouse Cards, where you can learn to make a ringed photo album with a collage in the front panel and also envelopes to hold cherished items at 10 a.m. Saturday.
5. Enjoy recycled crafts and more at Hunter Community Center on Thursday at 7 p.m. At this children/parent leader playgroup, participants will learn how to make objects out of common household materials, have interactive play through storytelling, boogie to music, and have lots of free time for your little ones to explore.
