5 Things You Should Know This Week in Troy

Find out what's happening the week of Aug. 12-18 in Troy and leave a comment if you have an event to share.

  1. The City Council will receive an update to the Troy Transit Center during its meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. Click here to view the complete agenda.
  2. Twenty percent of checks received at Shield's of Troy on Wednesday (11 a.m. to close) will benefit the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
  3. State Rep. Martin Howrylak will co-host a local town hall meeting on 2 p.m. Thursday at the Troy Public Library.
  4. The Troy Athens Band Boosters will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Big Beaver United Methodist Church. The car wash is free but donations (including bottles and cans) are welcome. All donation and money from the bottle drive will go to support the band program.
  5. Nearby on Woodward Avenue, the 18th annual Woodward Dream Cruise will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
