Shooter Arrested After 1 Wounded At Oakland County Hospital

TROY, MI β A 25-year-old Troy man was injured in a shooting at an Oakland County hospital Thursday morning, according to police.
Police said the shooting happened at 7:08 a.m. at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital on Dequindre Road and Michigan 59 in Troy.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.

Police said the shooter was arrested without incident later Thursday morning at a home in Macomb Township. More details about the arrest were not immediately shared.
Police said the shooting, involving two employees, happened at the hospital's parking garage. The shooter fired five shots from a handgun, striking the victim twice in the arm, according to police.

The shooter then fled the hospital, according to police.
Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital was on lockdown Thursday morning, but is now resuming normal activities, according to police.
Schools in the area were not placed on lockdown.
