We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new principals to the .
At Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting, Charles Lesser was named the new principal of . Lesser comes to the Troy School District from Van Dyke Public Schools, where he served as Principal of Lincoln High School for the past two school years. He was also an elementary school principal in Bridgeport-Spaulding Community Schools as well as an assistant principal in the same district. Lesser replaces Lois Byrne, who retires as Principal effective at the end of this school year.
In addition, Tammy DiPonio was named principal of . DiPonio comes to us from Platte County Schools in Missouri, where she has served as assistant superintendent for the past two years. She was also an elementary school principal in the same district as well as an elementary school teacher with the Liberty School District for 14 years. DiPonio replaces Gary Wood, who retires as principal the end of this school year.
The staff, Board and administration of the Troy School District would like to congratulate Mrs. Byrne and Mr. Wood on their retirement and welcome Mr. Lesser and Mrs. DiPonio to the TSD!
