Congratulations to the Advanced Band for earning a "superior" rating at the "Music in the Parks" festival on May 19 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH.
The ensemble performed extremely well, earning 96 out of 100 possible points from the two judges. The group earned first place overall in the competition.
One of the judges wrote, “Great performance, very mature sounding ensemble and well prepared.”

The students represented Larson and the City of Troy with great musicianship and exemplary behavior at the competition as well as at Cedar Point all day. The band received a trophy that will be proudly displayed in the band room.
