Troy Weather: Arctic Blast Returns This Weekend

Saturday will be cold and dry, as temperatures reach the mid-teens with consistent wind chills at -4 degrees throughout the day.

TROY, MI — An Arctic air blast will settle in Troy Friday night, making for a cold weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Friday will see afternoon temperatures reach the low 30s with just a slight chance of snow flurries in the metro area. However, Friday night gets very cold with temperatures plummeting to the single digits with overnight wind chills below zero, the National Weather Service said.

As the cold front passes through metro Detroit, Saturday will be cold and dry, as temperatures reach the mid-teens with consistent wind chills at -4 degrees throughout the day, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday will start very cold with most temperatures in metro Detroit in the single digits with wind chills consistently below zero. However, Sunday is expected to warm back up to the low 30s under clear skies, the National Weather Service said.

Although under mostly cloudy skies on MLK Day, Monday looks dry with temperatures reaching the low 30s. The next chance for wet weather is expected next Tuesday or Wednesday with rain/snow chances, the National Weather Service said.
