Arrest Made from Troy Apartment Theft Investigation

Nathaniel James Balowski, 36, of Rochester Hills, could face four years in jail for stealing from a storage locker.

Police last week arrested a Rochester Hills man connected to a break-in and theft of a storage locker at a Troy apartment complex in the 2000 block of Dorchester.

Nathaniel James Balowski, 36, of Rochester Hills, had been the focus of an intensive investigation over multiple weeks, according to police, originating from numerous reports of breaking into apartment storage lockers.

Balowski was arrested by Troy Police on Aug. 15 and arraigned the next day on one charge of larceny from a building, a four-year felony. Balowski is also listed as a parole absconder, according to police.

Balowski was given a $50,000 bond (cash/surety) and his next court date is Aug. 27 before Judge Kirsten Nielsen-Hartig of the 52-4 District Court. Records show that Balowski is currently held at Oakland County Jail.
