1.Β Drew32 Live in Concert with DJ Head

- What:Β Now in its 16th year, Ford Arts, Beats & Eats Presented by FirstMerit Bank takes place in Downtown Royal Oak. The festival will offer more than 200 performances on ten stages, a highly ranked Juried Fine Arts Show, local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in metro Detroit and international, regional and local attractions.
2.Β Velodrome Bicycle Races

- Where:Β International Velodrome at Bloomer Park
- What:Β Bring yourΒ friends to Michigan's only velodrome to enjoyΒ fast paced, thrillingΒ bicycle races.Β Adult wristbands cost $5 and children are free withΒ paid adult admission. Family and pet friendly.Β Β BYO lawn chair or blanket and enjoy theΒ tiered hillside seating. Β
3.Β Β Jazz at the Maple
- When:Β Friday, August 30, 2013,Β 6:30 PM
- Where:Β 4135 West Maple Road, Bloomfield Hills
- What:Β The Dave Lundin Jazz Trio play "Real Jazz for Real Jazz Lovers," including the music of Miles, Monk, Parker and Coltrane.Β Dave is on keyboards, Keith Malinowski on acoustic bass and Karen Tomalis on drums.Β The group plays your favorite jazz classics including hard bop, blues, ballads and Latin numbers such as "So What," "Impressions," Girl from Ipanema," and "Green Dolphin Street."Β Enjoy the free music, with wonderful food and film also available for your pleasure.
