City Of Troy Yard Waste Pick-Up Ends December 12th

Yard waste collection will cease on Thursday, December 12. Troy homeowners should put grass clippings, pencil-thin twigs, plantings, sod, old flowers, corn husks, leaves, etc. out on their weekly refuse pickup day. Do not exceed 50 pounds per container.  Place them in a regulation trash container with a “yard waste” sticker. Brown paper yard waste bags are also acceptable. Never put yard waste in plastic bags.

Branches less than 2 inches in diameter are yard waste. Cut down to three ft. lengths, securely tied and bundled, less than 40 lbs.Maximum five bundles per week collected.

Troy Residents can take their yard waste (up to 10 filled yard waste bags or bundles per home per day) to SOCRRA for free between December 23, 2013 and April 5, 2014. Christmas Trees are accepted too. SOCRRA is located at 995 Coolidge in Troy across from Meijer (between 14 & 15 Mile Roads).
